Activities for schools

The guided tour for classes lasts about 1 hour and 30 minutes and includes a historical introduction and the underground tour.

After discovering more about the history of the site, the students will visit the the underground areas. The guide will talk about the life of miners and explain the evolution of the coal mining techniques used in Serbariu from the 1930s until the mine shutdown, in areas organised and equipped with old tools and large machinery still used in active coal mines.

Advance booking is required.

Additional educational activities, designed for different levels of education, are also available upon reservation.
